Chieftain Studios: Car Wars

After completing the pre-production phase we are now ready to go full steam ahead with production! But before we do that, lets take a step back and let you know what we are all about.

We are Chieftain Studios, and we proudly present: Car Wars, the animated short. this short is centered around two characters, who battle it out for the last parking space in a shopping mall littered with obstacles.

Firstly I'm Richard, the producer and during the production phase I will be modelling, rigging and animating the lead characters and vehicles in our project. As producer I ensure the group is working well together and we're constantly on schedule.

Hi, I'm Ina. I'm the lead animator, through the pre-production phase I worked on the storyboard and the previs. I hope to improve my animation skills and gain more experience in the areas I want to work in after I graduate.

Hey, I'm Dan. Throughout the pre-production phase I completed basic models for characters and vehicles to be used as design influence on the main models. As far as the production workflow goes, I will be working on texturing the final models as well as lighting and rendering the scene.

Hey, I'm Darryl and I'm the sound chief! (and all round versatile member of Chieftain studios. For pre-production I have worked on the animation bible as well as editing the sounds for the pre-vis. Through the production phase I will be helping out where I can in areas such as modelling, texturing and editing the final video.

Hi I'm Marketa, I worked on concept art throughout the pre-production phase of this project, completing designs, turnarounds and expression boards for all characters. Carrying on from this I will be texturing and modelling elements of the final scene, as well as some assets for the background environment.

Throughout this phase we will update the blog with our progress and document any problems and solutions that may have occurred, but for now, we will say goodbye!
