Texturing and Organising - Scene

One of the main tasks that I volunteered for, was for me to organise the scene with the new assets, to recreate the layout in the Pre-Vis. To do this, I first created the markings on the car park ground, which allowed me to plan and place the cars in the correct position. The way I did this, was to place edge loops where the cars would be parked, then, I imported the UV texture and placed it into Photoshop. From here, I created lines and arrows, using reference, to create the signs and spaces of an actual car park.
After having a base, I began to collect assets from other members of the group and slowly started to build up the scene. There were a few problems, that required me to re-create some assets to help lower the poly count (the Mall for example). I then created the walls around the scene, as I had noticed we would be able to see past the mall, so the wall is simply to hide away the background.

After that, I was given the cars to both texture and place in the scene. There were four cars in total, that I then went through and textured using the preset texture 'PxrDisney', changing the setting when needed. Once this was done, I had to find a way to place the cars into the scene without making the file too big, To do this, I instanced the cars instead of duplicating them, allowing the scene to be easily used. Since there was so many cars in the scene, if I had not done this, the file would have been massive and completely unworkable.
