Modelling: Cars

My biggest task so far is to model the cars for the car park. We calculated that in the scene we had, we have over 200 car parking spaces. We came to the conclusion that I would model around 5-6 different cars and when they had all been finished, change the details in the cars, for example, increase the length of the bonnet, widen the car base and apply different colour textures to every car.

The first car I had modelled was this family car in the image. I had the idea that because they're in a mall car park, there will be a lot of families going shopping with their children. The details such as the lights have not been applied yet.

This car had some inspiration from The Incredibles.

As you can see the basic shape is the same, I have rounded the edges off and extended the roof of the car for a more stylised look.
We are hoping to use this as the Family man's car
but with the situations he gets himself in it's leaning towards not being used and using this in the car park.

I went for another family car idea for this one. As it's a mall car park, I went for another standard family car to get the idea across that this isn't the place that the characters shenanigans should be happening. It's a quiet, family place.

For this car, I went for a more traditional style of car but still in a stylised way. What I mean by traditional is the box shape, the bonnet and boot both stick out in proportion and is a car you will most likely see the most around.

For the final car, I went for a stockier model to fill out the car park. It is still family car based by it's shape and size, just more stockier than the other models I created.
